📢 Important Update for Newcombe Event Center

We want to inform you that the Newcombe Event Center is closed for events until further notice. The center is being used to store the essential supplies going to support the Hurricane Helene recovery effort. Our beloved center has been enlisted as part of Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region's efforts to help communities devastated by the storm. We know the immense effort that goes into making a home, and it is heartbreaking to see hundreds of thousands of families with their homes damaged or destroyed completely. We are dedicated to helping these individuals and families make their dream of homeownership a reality once more.

Thanks to Calvary Life Center for hosting a four-day event with us! With amazing worship music and powerful speakers, it was a pleasure to have them.

(Filmmaker' Note: I was so enamored with the beautiful sound of their congregation singing that I forgot to film it until it was nearly over🤦‍♂️ I'll have to be quicker on the draw with the phone next time 📸) I loved her segway into the service.

🕵 ORDER IN THE COURT 🧑‍⚖️
The North Carolina Society of Surveyors held a mock trial at the Newcombe Event Center! Participants stretched their knowledge and expertise to demonstrate how a court case involving a boundary dispute and surveyors who disagreed over a boundary line dispute might unfold.

The event was meant to educate surveyors as to the application of appropriate boundary law principles. Participants took testimonies and admitted evidence used by attorneys to build their case and undermine the opposition’s case. The audience was divided into individual juries of 6-8 persons each to consider the testimony and evidence and deliberate the case. 👩‍✈️
