Phlox - my babies! 🥲 three years of learning flower farming and here they are in my arms😊 they’ll be out the door tomorrow morning!! ✨year 1 , the slugs got all but 1, year 2, the weeds got out of control and choked them out, this year, they are shining, tall, and lovely little stars! …always need more 🤪

Pretty bouquets (roses, peonies, phlox, Canterbury bells, mint, and more) and large poppy bouquets, like 20-30 stems😍, at Terroir general store in Lockport today, tomorrow, and Sunday!

Poppies are starting to slow down, this may be the last weekend to grab em while they shine!

Was up extra early today to water and harvest! You’ll see some of these (PEONIES ARE HERE) in mixed bouquets this weekend at Terroir General Store! Woo! This is good stuff!!

First Shirley gray poppy opened today!! While the voles ate a lot of them over the spring, a couple plants powered through. I’m in awe at the beauty of them.

Very tall and lush pansies - great for flower arranging! They’ve grown so tall in their bins!

Canterbury bells- a long lasting and sweet scented beauty with a unique shape that is sure to leave you wanting more.

Peonies - a flower all the brides want year round but NOW is the time for the best quality! 😄

Ah and my colibri poppies. Always ones I love - a bucket full of them delivered to my friends at Wildroot Floral in Buffalo - a great flower shop for unique and thoughtful flower arrangements with seasonality in mind!

Blue & yellow beauties!! I had an overabundance of my yellow-blue pansies, so I fell down the rabbit hole of making a beautiful and seasonal yellow-blue arrangement 💙✨💙✨you know how it is flower people 😊

It seems like this happened over night (but it was probably in the works over the last week or even longer) the poppies are showing signs of stress and damage. I’m in research mode learning about plant diseases and management particularly with poppies. SO that leads me to say unfortunately, no poppy u-pick! I’m hoping I still get some blooms, but I’m going to see in the next few days what we are dealing with as they open, if they are usable, how the petals are on the damaged ones etc.

Meanwhile a toad was taking care of slugs in the pansies last night. 👍

On a brighter note, Lily of the valley bunches will be at Terroir General Store this weekend. Smell these and get a whiff of your grandma’s gardens or your childhood!

$10 mini bouquets (just two little guys) are at the stand today - fresh cut. Berner Pkwy Gasport, NY. Swing through on your way home and grab one! (Ranunculus, anemone, geum!)

I put the chalkboard sign out - whenever you see it there, there are flowers. If you don’t, then there aren’t! All of my extra treasures will end up there for you to enjoy!

Raising the roof on this crisp morning 😉 There’s nothing like the sun shining on your face after so many gray days. We have some beautiful sprouts of ranunculus and anemone in the hoop house. Survivors of the winters extremely cold temps! Many seedlings are cozy in my back room, spring is around the corner, many of which are poppies, Canterbury bells, lisianthus, and sweet peas🙃
