We all LOVE your pets, but Summerfest weekend is NOT the place for them! 🚫

With crowds, loud music, hot pavement, and high temps, it’s easy for pets to become overwhelmed, overheated, or injured. Please keep them safe by leaving them at home where it’s cool and calm. 🫶

Let’s keep Garrettsville Summerfest safe and fun for everyone. Including our four-legged family. 🐕❤️🐾

Friendly Reminders:

🐶 Even “just a few minutes” in a parked car can be deadly.

🐶 85°F outside? It’s 104°F on pavement.
That can burn paws in seconds.

🐶 Dogs don’t sweat like humans.
They only cool off through panting and sweating through paws, making them extremely vulnerable in heat.

🐶 Always keep fresh, cool water on hand. Dehydration sneaks up fast.

🐶 Short nosed breeds are much more vulnerable to heatstroke.

🐶 Fireworks, music, and crowd noise can cause panic, disorientation, or escape attempts.

🐶 Signs of Heatstroke in Pets:
•Excessive panting or drooling
•Weakness or collapse
•Vomiting or diarrhea
•Glazed eyes or confusion
•Bright red or pale gums
