A piece of Windham history got a second chance today.

The monument marking the site of the first house in Windham, located on the Alford’s Glen property, had been knocked over for years. Today, Milano Monuments carefully lifted and reset it.

Thank you to the Windham Historical Society for ensuring the story will continue to be shared for generations to come.

A duplicate monument has also been placed on the Windham Town Green so more people can experience this piece of local history.

The dessert wagon got a much-needed facelift!

This sweet piece has been part of our family for generations, and while she may have a little history behind her, she’s still just as beautiful as ever. We’re giving her some updated lighting and refreshed crates while keeping all of the charm that makes her so special.

The brides aren’t the only ones who deserve a special space on wedding day.

We just upgraded the loft in the barn with a new big-screen TV and leather seating to create the perfect spot for grooms and their crew to relax, hang out, watch the game, share stories, and soak in the moments before “I do.”

Because the guys deserve a space that feels just as memorable as the day itself.

Spring has arrived in the Glen, and it truly takes a village to get everything ready for summer. We’re so grateful for all the help we’ve had so far and are excited to welcome wedding season!

Alford’s Glen is the site of the first home in Windham, and the Windham Historical Society is embarking on an important mission to restore the monument that marks this historic location on our property.

Over time, the monument has been defaced, and we are excited to see it respectfully repaired, righted, and enhanced with a new commemorative plaque. In addition, a replica of the monument will be placed in Windham so that this important piece of our community’s history can be shared and appreciated by more residents and visitors.

This project helps preserve one of Windham’s most meaningful historical sites for future generations.

The Windham Historical Society has a lot of big projects nearing completion, including one that will have them retouch the local monument that resides on Mike Paul’s property, off of Werger Road, …
