Things I said out loud while planning this wedding:

“Do you think someone on your team will be open to wearing a pickle costume while pushing the shot cart?”

“I think we need to change the denim plan. If I need to actually put the flare jeans around his legs, I will 100% get my a$$ kicked by Kendrick Llama.”

“Is it weird if we put some of the heads on the floor?”

“Tick check! Everyone here needs to get naked with their partner of choice tonight to check for ticks.”

“Is it too much of a deep cut to have an Elvis drink stirrer on the “Big Little Limes” drink?”

Gabby & Zach, cheers to all of the things I never thought I’d say out loud. Let’s do it again.

When the venue itself is a whole vibe, it doesn’t take much to make something really beautiful and special there.

Case & point: The Henson with its cozy nooks, delicate wallpaper and gardens for days. Creating this minimal, but very chic, day for Katherine and Blake here in September was a dream.

Two table styles, one gorgeous reception.

When Sarah, Toby and I were designing tablescapes at the rental showroom, two very different linens from BBJ La Tavola were their consistent favorites. One, a rich chartreuse velvet, and the other a taupe linen with a gentle white floral pattern. Instead of choosing one, we said “why not both?” … and from there the design really came to life.

So, consider this your permission to choose “and” over “or.” Sometimes that’s the key to taking a design to the next level.

My favorite part of this scrumptious invitation suite by Katy Thomas Creative? The RSVP card styled after Lionrock Farm’s iconic ceremony tree. Just exquisite ✨

Or maybe my favorite thing is the subtle block print patterns, or the die cut shapes, or the layering …

15 years ago, these two crazy kids said “I do” to each other. And year after year, I learn more and more that it was the best decision I’ve ever made.

A quick Google search told me that year 15 is the “crystal” anniversary, but we decided to do something a little different. We decided to go into business together.

There are some wedding days I leave saying “that felt GOOD.” The timeline rolls smoothly and stress-free, the vendor team works together in perfect harmony, the weather cooperates, the buses deploy on schedule, the guests have a blast, and the cherry on top of it all is a couple so happy, so in love and getting to savor it all.

This was one of those days.

Congrats, Sarah & Toby. This was a joy.
