It’s all about the details.

Most people always forget the getting ready photos or they just don’t care for it. For me, it’s so important to capture all the important elements.

Flat lays are one of my favorites and highlights to a wedding. Do it for your wedding day. If your photographer won’t do it, your coordinator can or even your florist. It is time consuming because you have so many elements that take place.

A beautiful canvas or backdrop, Jewlery, ring boxes, vow books, florals, vintage stamps, invitations, Jewlery dishes or trinkets, veils, garter, earrings, necklace, rings, bracelets, cuff links, shoes, perfume/cologne, robes, champagne/alcohol bottles, glassware, bridesmaids gifts, bride and groom gifts and cards knickknacks, accessories, etc. The list goes on.

So…ask your florist for these blooms to do. No it’s not “EXTRA” it still cost us to buy those blooms. Why? Because the person doing the flat lays has to cut the flower down with no stem and we can’t use it anymore to arrange. After the flower serves its purpose for the flat lays we can repurpose it again. It’s sad but it’s beautiful.

I am so honored to be a part of this years 6th annual Summit. For the first time it is FREE and we have over 40 designers to teach you about design, mechanics, pricing and more.

I get to do two of my favorite things; florals and teaching. I didn’t know that I could put two of the things I love most together. I wish I had a community, Facebook group/Instagram or even a mentor to talk to to teach me about how to start off my floral business.

I was self taught but now I have a huge community I learn from every day. These fellow educators mentor and encourage me everyday. I’m so grateful to know them and they are like family to me. Our industry go hit the biggest due to COVID and we had lots of weddings and hopes for 2020 but now, we get to give back to the community by giving back what we know and learn. The greatest gift someone could ever give me is the gift to serve. I love having the opportunity to be creative and the time to create beautiful things for people. Making someone smile is what I live for. I’m a sucker for pleasing people and that makes me happy.

We have two weddings back to back this weekend and there were so many things that went wrong but no one could tell that I was upset at myself and things didn’t go as planned. But it the end, the result was magical 💫. I couldn’t have done it without my team. They stuck it through and endured so much for me. I have the best team in the world. So beyond blessed.
