🇺🇸 25 Years Later, We Remember Together.

This September 11, we invite our entire community to join us at The Refinery for a morning of remembrance, reflection, and unity.

Beginning at 7:30 AM on Friday, September 11, we will come together to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, recognize the courage and sacrifice of our first responders, and help ensure that a new generation understands why we remember.

The morning will include the GCHS Choir performing the National Anthem, the GCHS JROTC Color Guard, and our Memorial Ruck Run, where community members are invited to walk, jog, or run 2.2 miles together in tribute to the firefighters and first responders of September 11.

This isn’t about how fast you finish. It’s about showing up, remembering together, and honoring those who answered the call when our country needed them most.

🌎 JUGGLING HIS WAY ACROSS AMERICA!

This week, we had the opportunity to welcome Neriah Guerin to The Refinery as he makes his way across the country on a truly one-of-a-kind journey.

Neriah set out from Los Angeles in June with a goal of reaching New York City on foot — while juggling the entire way.

But his journey is about more than setting a record. Neriah hopes to encourage people to step away from the noise of an increasingly digital world, get outside, stay active and reconnect with the world around them.

His background makes the journey even more interesting. From spinning rifles, flags and sabers in high school to performing with the U.S. Air Force Drill Team and earning five World Drill Championship titles, movement has been a part of Neriah’s life for years.

We were excited to give Neriah a tour of The Refinery Fieldhouse & Event Center on Wednesday while his journey brought him through our area.

We welcomed Neriah Guerin to the refinery last night on his trip across America. Neriah is walking and juggling from Los Angeles to Times Square in New York, his motivation, to inspire mental heslth awareness, health and active lifestyle. His trip will be ending later this year. He is headed towards Dodge City and then Great Bend and then east towards Missouri. Follow his journey and root him on!

🚶‍♂️🤹 He’s juggling his way across America — and he’s stopping at The Refinery TODAY!

Meet Neriah Guerin, who is attempting to become the first person to walk from Los Angeles to New York City while juggling the entire way.

His cross-country journey is about more than setting a record. Neriah is using movement, determination, and a whole lot of juggling to encourage people to get active, take care of their mental health, spend less time behind screens, and discover what they’re capable of.

And today, his journey brings him to Garden City!
