Remember yesterdayโ€™s cheese-only board? Well, hereโ€™s its other half!

We were honored to create two custom boards for the VIP guests attending an event featuring Shabbos Kestenbaum, a Harvard Divinity School graduate and outspoken advocate against antisemitism on college campuses.

Our clients requested separate boards to respect Jewish dietary traditions. One was cheese-only, and this one was all about the meats, with absolutely no pork or dairy.

While shopping at Fred Meyer, I noticed the deli employee had been slicing pork on the machine. I asked if she could please clean it before slicing my chicken and turkey, explaining that I was preparing food for Jewish guests.

Her response? โ€œOh, I can just use our kosher slicer!โ€

๐—ช๐—›๐—ข ๐—ž๐—ก๐—˜๐—ช?!

I had no idea Fred Meyer had a dedicated kosher slicer! Even after years in catering, Iโ€™m still learning something new.
