History Restored

When Falstaff Brewing Corporation's announced its new brewery in Galveston, Texas, it was among the most modern in the world. The hospitality room located on the fifth floor offered a cheerful meeting place for guests to relax after touring the new plant. Abandoned since the 80s, this property was rumored to be haunted... sitting stagnantly with no future; a large piece of Galveston’s history and economy was left to crumble.

When Jerome Karam purchased the property in 2015, he had a vision and fearlessness. This multi-phase project is not for the faint of heart! Restoring and maintaining the architectural integrity presented both challenges and beauty. However, Karam never backs down from a challenge and it most certainly has paid off.

Nearing completion, The Tasting Room is Galveston’s newest premier wedding and event venue. Equipped with two dining halls, a conference space, a reception hall with breathtaking terrazzo tile and of course, a rooftop patio overlooking Downtown Galveston and Galveston Bay - join us in making history with your next event!
