In 1979, my family was forced to flee Iran during the Islamic Revolution due to their personal relationship with the Shah and his government.

Overnight we lost our homeland, friends, and family.

Since then, Iran has endured decades of oppression, violence, and lost freedoms. Our story is one shared by many families who were driven into exile and came to this incredible country.

I thank God for the United States — a country that gave my family safety, freedom, and the chance to rebuild our lives.

May God bless America, and may Iran one day be free again.
