A recent surprise 80th birthday party for 35 guests. Everything was cooked on-site and in an open kitchen while the party took place- traveled with two woks and a whole lot of authentic and delicious spices.

Thai food with love - and all made from scratch, of course.

We started with cheese and specialty meat trays, edamame, pot stickers, spring rolls, homemade warm peanut sauce and a sweet-chili sauce for dipping as well as roasted and seasoned peanuts for pre-meal munchies.

Main course of Thai basil chicken, Pad Thai with shrimp, Kang Hung Lay (pork belly curry), Chicken Fried Rice, and Jasmine rice, with lime leaves, Thai basil, plus a cucumber and onion salad for topping.

Finished off the day with two three-tiered Red Velvet cakes.

It was a delicious day and both a pleasure and an honor to provide the sustenance that day.

A lovely day for a celebration of life. I am lucky enough to know the daughter of this fine man and the vibe of his circle was soul cleansing.

What an amazing man and I was honored to feed his tribe and listen to stories, adventures and heartwarming memories - he was alive again today through the tears and laughter.

Hosted and catered good old fashioned southern bbq for our 40th year high school reunion.

The tiramisu cheesecake is represented by the empty plate on the left- it was demolished in minutes. We also had chocolate mousse cheesecake, local honey and peanut butter cheesecake, and a lemon zest and bkueberry cheesecakes.

BBQ beans(pork-bark and vegetarian) , collards (fat back and vegetarian), corn, country peas, baby back ribs, smoked fish, pulled pork, smoked wings, smoked chicken, slaw, and all the sauces made from scratch, of course.

Washed it down with Southern sweet tea, lemonade, fruit punch, and our famous White Trash Margaritas.

What a great weekend with so many wonderful people. Forty years. Damn. Go Blue Waves, y’all!

It was so damn good I didn’t even take foodie pix; expanded a lot since were last here. When the Inferno team hit Ormond every year for tournament time, this was a tradition on the way home for some of us.

Spent the morning on the balcony listening to the waves and reading. Just finished a ginger mule, red rock shrimp tacos and grouper that was swimming in the ocean yesterday or so, about to have some peanut butter ganache pie and then head home.

This is a pretty damn fine life. Color me grateful. 💜💜💜 Bubba
