One detail we loved while styling this reception mock-up was seeing how dramatically the atmosphere changed simply by switching the glassware palette and layering tones throughout the table design.
For the darker, moodier aesthetic, we incorporated dark blue, light blue, and white goblets paired with navy floral napkins to create a dramatic, elevated tablescape. The layered blues add depth and sophistication, especially alongside candlelight and dimmed lighting. This version feels timeless, refined, and beautifully editorial.
For the softer, lighter aesthetic, we styled the table using light blue and clear goblets with dusty-blue floral napkins for a more airy presentation. The clear glassware allows the florals, linens, and candlelight to feel softer and more luminous, creating an elegant garden-inspired atmosphere with a fresh, romantic feel.
Both designs offer two distinct moods while maintaining the same overall palette — one rich and dramatic, the other soft and ethereal. It was beautiful to see how each variation transformed the feeling of the space.a
