Our Story

Flowers on Broad Street's story began on Mar. 1, 1997. The shop is located in the historic district of Varina, a part of the charming town of Fuquay Varina. Thriving now as the home of small local shops like J & S Pizza, Nil's Cafe, Aviator Brewing (yea!) and the very elegant wedding venue, Highgrove on Laurel Lake.

With such an idyllic setting, one might expect to walk into a quaint little shop that sells flowers. Instead, open the door and find yourself in a secret garden. Filled with a surprisingly delightful collection of flowers, charming vintage pieces, wreaths that will make your door win best on the block, and other really cool stuff to hold flowers and plants.

Drawing on the adage that flowers should look gracefully "just picked," blooms are gathered from around the world ~ California, Holland, South America, and most importantly from our local growers in Fuquay Varina, Clayton, and Cary. Organic and farm fresh is the Flowers on Broad Street favorite look. Flowers are designed in a garden style which sometimes embraces nature's beautiful imperfections.
