Hamsa Cooking takes the stigma away of “camp food” by the replacing the traditional institutional flavorless approach away from camp kitchens and replacing it with made with love, from scratch cooking and flavor. Summer camp kitchens and dining halls are a great opportunity to educate campers on the importance of balanced diets and green initiatives. Our diverse menu offering allows campers to not
only enjoy their favorites, but to experience other culture through exploring different types of international cuisine. Campers can enjoy perfectly well balanced and executed entrees for each meal of the day to fit any dietary restriction or request. They may also enjoy from the breakfast bar which features homemade granola, assorted freshly chopped fruit and vegetables, hard boiled eggs, cottage cheese, yogurt, hot oatmeal with toppings, a variety of cold cereals, farm fresh milk and juice. During lunch and dinner, the Salad bar is always a huge hit with over 20 different freshly chopped vegetables, house made dressings, croutons, salads, and pasta. We also prepare most of our desserts and breads from scratch including Challah on Shabbat. No camper is left without personalized care and attention to what they like to eat and we are here to listen. Any camper requiring special diets is attended to with the importance by one of our Special Dietary trained chefs. Hamsa Cooking is well practiced and prepared to cook for an array of diets ranging from Nut Free, Gluten Free, Vegetarian to Vegan.
