Growth comes with great responsibilities… let me share a bit from my heart 💜 today…
It has taken years to get where we are today. For the longest time I (Maria Mejia-Ng) managed to take care of every aspect of the business and as we grew, I continued to carry the heavy weight of the never ending tasks which led burnout. Most small business owners experience this at some point in their lives. To be honest, Grad school didn’t prepare me for this! I found myself reflecting on this amazing yet exhausting journey wondering if it was time to let it go because the growth was greater than I could handle (great problem to have). However, in order to continue to build upon the same structure, I needed a stronger foundation!
This year we have set the bar higher, implemented new systems, developed training materials and improved communication at all levels including staff, vendors and customers.
Real growth takes place when we are able to evaluate outcomes, learn from our mistakes, adjust to changes and improve. This formula truly works but it requires humility and honesty. Over the years we have welcomed the feedback from our loyal clients, ideas from our amazing staff and have strengthened the foundation that will allow us to continue building for years to come. Having a team I can rely on is key to success. I am incredibly grateful for these talented and dedicated women I have the privilege of working with. This truly has made the difference.
