It’s hard to believe school started this week for us and our little summer break has come to an end. We were craving more routine and it feels pretty great to be back to our school day schedule. I love seeing all the other homeschooling mamas back at it as well, encouraging each other, answering questions, and sharing their favorite supplies. Now if anyone has any tips for keeping a very busy and feisty toddler busy while I school the older kids feel free to drop them in the comments!

When everyone thought we were nuts for selling our perfectly good house to move into an RV this is the life I would describe to them, this is the why. Why we spent 18 months with endless renovations and moves. We were tired, and we still have a long list of projects on our new property. But it was all for this. All to have a place for us to learn to grow our own food, care for animals, and give our boys room to run. Growth does not come without discomfort or hard work. It is easy to stay comfortable but so rewarding to learn new things and do the hard parts.

Take the photos mama; capture the videos of your babies. Even if you don’t feel “perfect” or “ready” having photos of your babies will always be perfect. These days are fleeting, hold onto them with everything you have, they won’t stay forever. We miss the days that have passed, but long for the days to come, to watch them grow. Get in the photos mama, one day they will be all we have to sharpen the memories we have of our babies. PC

It has been an incredible week visiting our family and friends, with so much to celebrate. It has filled me up to the brim! But we are definitely missing our sweet little animals, and so excited to pick up our hens when we get back home. What a blessing it is to be able to hop on a plane and visit the people we love, and then hop back on and be home!

Just a boy and his dog. How sweet it is watching him take care of and nurture his animals. Dolly is turning out to be the best dog, all the wonderful things people say about Great Pyrenees is true 🙌🏻. Now we just need to get her some chickens to watch over, and maybe some goats, and a duck 🤪. If you have chickens I would love for you to share your favorite breeds so I can add them to my list!

This little kitchen has come a long way since we moved in. It started out as pieces sort of thrown together and we worked hard to create a cohesive, very functional space. I knew I wanted a farmhouse/ cottage feel for the kitchen so after hours of research I decided on this faux stone with a heavy “schmear”. Find yourself a friendship like Shepherd Dean + Marigold Sunshine have. We had the best visit from my sister and her family over the weekend and these two were inseparable, per usual. I’ve never met a sweeter pair and I love listening to thier little conversations. There are no better friends than siblings and cousins.
