Hello Dino here, giving you an update on what’s coming up this year for Hauntmare 2027!

Some changes are happening this year, and I want to share a little about where Hauntmare is headed.

When I first thought up Hauntmare while flying home from St. Louis after attending TransWorld, my goal was to bring everything I loved about the many horror conventions I had attended to the Central Valley — so YOU could experience what I had experienced.

Halloween and horror have been a passion of mine for years. I started creating my home haunt in 2009 and then created Team Skream in 2012. Over the last few years, we have been building the Hauntmare name, and now Scott Woods will be assisting me in bringing my main vision for Hauntmare to life.

That means more entertainment, more Halloween vendors, celebrities, and a showdown you absolutely will NOT want to miss! 🔥

👀 WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Right now, we are working on several different logo ideas, and we want YOU to help decide what logo Hauntmare should have!
Before Grimmz, I had a friend design a logo for Hauntmare, but many people felt it was a little too cartoonish for a horror convention. If you were around in 2024, you may remember that I posted a rabbit as a possible direction.

Well… I beefed up that rabbit. 🐰💀

Here is the beefed-up bunny coming out from the depths of the underworld! 🔥

Some people are saying we should drop the monsters and animals and keep the logo simple.

Others are saying Hauntmare needs a face — something people will immediately recognize as Hauntmare.

That’s where YOU come in!

We want to hear your thoughts. If you have an idea for a Hauntmare logo, or even a drawing you think could work, send it our way! We are currently creating different logo concepts and would love to see what the Hauntmare community comes up with.

We also want to start advertising our first celebrity and get ticket sales going ASAP, so having the right logo will help us get things rolling!

👻 Hello, Hauntmare Family! 👻
My name is Dino, and I want to apologize for being a little quiet lately. I’ve been busy with Haunt Season, where I create a haunt to raise money for charity. This year, our charity is Reading Hearts, and I’m excited about what we’re putting together!

I’ll be honest—I’m not much of a social media guy. I’m more of the social butterfly and creator of Hauntmare Expo! 😂 So please bear with me as I work on getting the Hauntmare social media pages reorganized and running smoothly.

I’m also bringing in a few people to help manage our social media content. They’ll be keeping an eye on messages, comments, and anything that may have been overlooked so they can bring it to my attention and I can personally handle situations that need my attention.

Most importantly, this year I’ll be implementing my main goal for Hauntmare Expo, and I couldn’t be more excited about it! I’m eager to get things rolling and start building toward the 2027 Hauntmare Expo Convention. 🖤

Right now, I’m working hard on a haunt for Playland at Roeding Park, so please save the dates and come check out Team Skream’s amazing haunt that we’re putting together this year!

I’ll be sharing more information as soon as possible, so stay tuned. 👀

👻 We want to share some important news with our Hauntmare family. One of our owners, Luther, has decided to step away from Hauntmare. While we will miss his contributions, we want to assure you that owner Dino is still here and committed to continuing to bring you the best experiences.

Exciting updates for Hauntmare 2027 will be announced as soon as we can, so stay tuned!

My name is Luthor Riddle. I am one of the owners of Hauntmare Expo. Today, I have made my decision to finally denounce evil in my life. What this means is that I am giving up my ownership rights to Hauntmare. This has been a decision I have spent many months debating. Hauntmare will continue on under one owner, and that will be Dino. Grimmzfest is also cancelled.
I'm still retaining my rights to Grimmz. He's a misunderstood monster, and he's a character 1 am still developing. Grimmz may or may not continue to be the face of Hauntmare Expo. That is a choice that's up to Dino. I'm not going to take him away from the convention.
He is a big part of Hauntmare, and that wouldn't be fair.
As much as I helped create Hauntmare, I created it out of a passion for Halloween, which, in itself, I don't think is evil. But what I really am promoting runs deeper and is not something I can willingly support. My heart hurt so much finding out that there was a satanic youth gathering recently in Fresno. I felt so much sadness that this is what is happening in our world. I realized I am no better with what I have created. I'm supporting a much darker thing than I wanted. We are all equal, and I am not looking to be better than anyone else. It's not a competition. I just want to do what feels right for my family and for myself
I do believe our Lord and Savior is Jesus Christ. I am going to explore this journey a lot more during our limited time on this earth. IDK what the future holds for me. It could be good, bad, and everything in between. I love you all, in the best way I know how. We are all God's people. Pray for your sins. Cherish each other. Forgive your enemies.
Forgive yourself.

If any of this upsets you, then it's time to really take a deep dive into your heart and see why. I will pray for you also.

Missed the photo ops at Hauntmare Expo this year? Don’t worry—there’s always next year.

Our photo ops aren’t just a quick picture in front of a backdrop. We like to give them that special Hauntmare touch with creepy sets, dramatic lighting, fun poses, and an experience made especially for horror fans.

It’s your chance to step into the scene, meet some of your favorite guests, and leave with a killer photo and a memory you’ll be talking about long after the convention is over.
