HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JAMES! 🥳

You may not see James quite as much on this page as Jourdan, but he is undeniably a crucial part of our operation. Fun fact: James owns his own semi and has a whole job outside of TMD! He’s been driving trucks for a long time and when he’s not on the road, he’s making Jourdan’s dreams come true here at TMD.

This is James’ first birthday as a dad, so I have a feeling this one will be extra sweet 🥰 happy birthday, James! Thank you for all you do here every day!

It’s BABY season here at The Mill District 👶🏻🤍

Haley had her maternity shoot for baby #3 here on the property and I don’t know about you, but our jaws are on. the. floor. 😱 photography made the vision come to life and we’re obsessed.

The Thomsons are already back to work and loving being a family of 3! Well, 5 🐶 🐶 we are all so ready and excited to gear up for wedding season in June!

As our 2025 brides start gearing up for their big days, our 2026 brides have a lot to start thinking about! If we were getting married in 2026, here is what we’d start thinking about:
1. Pre-wedding events (bridal showers, bachelor/bachelorette parties, their location, etc)

2. Registry. Start putting that together! It helps to add things slowly day-to-day as you notice things you don’t have now that you may need.

3. Honeymoon. Do you want to take one? Right after the wedding or make it a one-year anniversary trip?

4. Vendors. Do your research! If you need recommendations, we are happy to help you with that.

5. Guest list. That can be the most overwhelming part of the experience. Have an older sibling who’s already been married? Great! See if they still have their list and that will get you a good head start.

6. Theme and colors. Colorful? Classic? Monochromatic? Florals or greenery? Maybe both!

7. Bridal party. Who’s going to stand with you on your big days? Start gathering dress material swatches and thinking about where you may want to get dresses, rent tuxes, etc. There are soo many options out there. Sky’s the limit!

Tripp James “TJ” Thomson joined us 2 weeks early 🩵

He was born 3/11/25 weighing 7 lbs 6 oz and 19.5 inches long. The Thomsons are settling into life as a family of 3 and soaking in all the sweet newborn snuggles! They’ll be back to work very soon with tours beginning 3/29.

How has it been almost 2 years since our major Cottage update? 😱

Summer 2023, we renovated the Cottage bathroom. Since then, our brides and bridal parties have taken the sweetest photos getting ready in there. We’ve had many fabulous Airbnb guests, as well!

This little house (+ more) is included in ALL our wedding packages and is also available for rent when we don’t have weddings. One of our favorite buildings! 🤍

This building is so underrated— The Mill.

Charming, unique, and romantic, it has been a favorite ceremony spot for many of our couples. For others, it’s their plan B in case of rain, or their private cocktail hour space for just the couple. It has a great space for the couple to decorate and display photos and artifacts, leading down to the chapel. 🤍

However you choose to use it, this building makes a great addition to your wedding day! 💒

Graduation is just around the corner! 🧑‍🎓

We still have some availability for grad parties— rent our space or have us run the whole show start to finish, like we did for this sweet grad last year. Decor, graphics, signs, food, etc. We can do it all!

We are blessed not only with an incredible tribe of hard-working women, but a boss who puts so much heart into the business and all of us. She hand-picked each of us for a special task and we do not take her trust for granted.
