Lagos – The Night That Changed Everything

Eze Ikechukwu never planned to be a fraudster.

At least, that’s what he told himself.

He grew up in Ajegunle, where boys his age either hustled, played football, or joined cults.

Eze chose the hustle.

But Lagos had a way of changing men.

Now, he sat in a luxury apartment in Lekki, a MacBook open in front of him, typing sweet lies to a rich American widow.

"You are my queen, my love," he wrote, his fingers fast, skilled, merciless.

Across the table, Ugo Money watched him with a smirk.

"See as you dey lie like pastor," Ugo chuckled, sipping Hennessy.

Eze didn’t smile. He just kept typing.

Because tonight was different.

Tonight, he wasn’t just trying to scam a woman.

Tonight, he was playing for his future.

And one wrong move could cost him everything.

EPISODE 1: THE FIRST MOVE

Ajegunle, Lagos – The Beginning of a Dream

Eze Ikechukwu sat outside his one-room apartment, staring at the Lagos night sky, his mind far away from the noise of his street.

The air smelled of fried akara, burning trash, and wet sand.

Somewhere in the distance, a generator coughed and died, plunging another part of the neighborhood into darkness.

Eze barely noticed.

He had grown up in this chaos.

This was home.

But it wasn’t enough.

Not anymore.

He wanted more.

More than the tiny one-room apartment he shared with his younger brother.
More than the second-hand clothes and knock-off sneakers.
More than the random hustles that never paid enough.

He wanted a life where people respected him.

A life where his name carried weight.

But in Lagos, there were only two ways to make it.

Work hard… or work smart.

And Eze had tried hard work.

It had failed him.

---

Eze used to believe in honest work.

He had been a bus conductor, shouting at passengers in the burning sun.

"Ojuelegba! CMS! Enter with your change o!"

He had worked at a local car wash, scrubbing jeeps that he would never afford.

He had even tried to sell phones in Computer Village, bargaining with customers who wanted to pay nothing for everything.

But no matter how hard he worked, money was never enough.

Not for his younger brother’s school fees.
Not for their sick mother back in the village.
Not for the dreams that refused to die in his chest.

And that was when he met Ugo Money.

And everything changed.

---

Ugo Money – The Man Who Showed Him a Different Lagos

The first time Eze saw Ugo Money, it was at a local bar in Ajegunle.

Ugo wasn’t like the other hustlers.

He wasn’t loud. He wasn’t flashy.

But he commanded attention.

His gold chain was real. His wristwatch could pay a year’s rent. His perfume smelled like money.

And when he spoke, people listened.

That night, Eze watched as Ugo spent fifty thousand naira in one sitting.

On drinks.
On women.
On nothing.

Fifty thousand.

More than Eze had made in six months.

Eze had seen rich men before.

But Ugo was different.

Because Ugo used to be just like him.

A hustler. A street boy. Someone who came from nothing.

And now—he was untouchable.

Eze wanted to know how.

He wanted in.

And so, one night, after weeks of watching, of waiting, of studying, he finally approached Ugo.

He walked up to his table, his heart pounding, and said:

"Oga, teach me."

And Ugo Money smiled.

Because he had been waiting for him.
