Supporting small business is so much more than buying a cookie from a local coffee shop instead of a hard, dry giant bag of soulless, tasteless cookies from Costco. It is sharing posts, sharing sentiments ( thank you to everyone who tells us we are doing well and thanks us for putting time and attention towards historic preservation and community care), sharing ideas ( my decision fatigue appreciates you!), sharing information ( hvac, plumbers, mill work and more) and thinking of us.

Stephenson County Historical Society

This impressive 3-acre arboretum campus features the 1857 Oscar Taylor Mansion (rumored to be an Underground Railroad stop), a 1920s one-room schoolhouse, and an 1840s log cabin. It also houses the National Museum of Arcade Toys, showcasing the world's largest collection of historic cast-iron toys made right in Freeport.
