Let’s be real- selecting vendors for your big day is no easy task. There are seemingly endless options in each category and it’s hard to know which professionals are right for you and your vision. Here are my suggestions!

✨ Look at their body of work- does it *feel* like you? I’m not saying they have to have a picture of exactlyyyy what you envision in terms of color palette or exact rentals etc. But is the vibe there? Hint- if you’re wanting a very tight and uniform look for your flowers, my whimsical and cottage garden designs might not be for you and that’s okay! Doesn’t mean we can’t go outside the box but sometimes there really is someone else out there who is stronger in that style of design.

✨ Have you had a consult? How did that feel? For me personally, I want a real person on the other end. Not a robot with a script (I don’t mean this literally). Yes, as professionals we all have outlined questions that need to be answered so we can give you the appropriate recommendations, however, it doesn’t hurt to have a little personality.

✨ Did they say “yes” to everything? Believe it or not, this can actually be a red flag. If you ask me if we can repurpose your all white bridesmaids bouquets and arbor florals in the heat of July, I’m going to kindly recommend against it. And that’s not in a “I’m trying to trick you into spending more $$ kind of way”. It’s in a “those flowers will likely be wilty and sad from being in the 100’ heat without water and I can’t in good conscience recommend that we try to use them as your centerpieces for the remainder of the evening”. It’s purely logistics and 100% me trying to ensure we have realistic expectations for the most beautiful flowers for your day.

✨ Are they the cheapest option by far? I know I know, budgets get tight. I’m not saying you need to pick the highest quote. What I’m saying is that if a vendor is sending you a quote that is far below any other, this is very likely for a reason. And that’s reason is that they’re going to give you less.
