Megan O'Shea

Megan O'Shea 'Like' to stay updated on everything from the Jersey shore music scene to Nashville. Music has always been a huge part of my life. That was January of 2012.

Growing up I shared a room with my sister, Katelyn. I give her a lot of credit for the person and DJ I am today. When I was 9 years old, she got her license and was stuck with me a lot. I remember driving around with her listening to bands like Mest and Mad Caddies. Katelyn was also the one to give me the nickname 'Monster'. She turned me on to bands like Streetlight Manifesto, Less Than Jake, Mot

ion City Soundtrack, Jimmie's Chicken Shack and Alkaline Trio. She took me to Bamboozle and Warped Tour and every show in between. Years later, she joined the military and while in basic training sent home Miranda Lambert's Kerosene and I fell in love with a genre I was never able to understand. My first semester at Brookdale Community College I got really involved in Brookdale Student Radio, the birth place of Monster's Mix. After becoming President for BSR, 90.5 The Night took a chance on me and gave me a job. That's when I truly fell in love with radio. The Night is known for playing a little bit of everything. When I'm on air, you can expect a whole lot of local music as well as everyone from Sheryl Crow to Johnny Cash, Jamestown Revival to the Dirty Heads, Grateful Dead to The Kooks, and Rayland Baxter to Sublime. Check out this page every once in while to stay up to date with whats going on with all of your favorite music and your music scene!

I need YOU! Please help me beat some of my favorite hard working people in a contest by signing up as a recurring donor of The Project Matters! You can donate as little as $5 a month ($10 or $15 would be better though, just sayin')

For the last nearly 8ish years, I've been so proud to be a member of the board for this local non-profit. We assist musicians in 💝NJ💝 under the age of 25. We've met incredible musicians that need instruments, studio time, mentorship, and more. We're so honored to be the team that gets to help them further their career.

It's not an easy business.. talent isn't enough. We're so proud of all of the musicians we've helped over the years and can only continue to do so with YOU'RE HELP.

In addition to helping young musicians, we've also provided assistance to NJ's public schools. We've seen music programs take a hit over the years, so TPM has provided the needed sheet music, instruments and more to make sure the next generation doesn't suffer.

P.S. If I don't beat Colton Kayser, I might cry. Please help.
