Annual Halloween events which take place during the month of October in the town of Freehold Borough. All events are FREE to the public due to our generous supporters. Events/Activities include:
Movie Night October at 7pm at the Hall of Records. Partnered with Downtown Freehold, we will be showing MOVIE TBD. Bring your chairs and snacks, where your jammies and a hoodie. The town wide Corn Stalk
decorating will be on Sunday October 10th! Volunteers are needed. Meet at Borough Hall at 8:30am. Window Painting Contest : Painting will take place on October 13th. *RAIN DATE 10/20/22
Again this year residents and visitors to the Borough will enjoy the Halloween murals painted on retail storefront windows throughout town. Artistic students from each of the six high schools in the Freehold Regional School District compete for honors in this long standing Borough tradition that is not to be missed. Freehold Intermediate students’ artistic talents will be displayed on windows at Broad Street Plaza. Bring your family and your camera and take a leisurely stroll to view the award winning windows. The Haunted Hayrides are back again!Join us on October 16th at the Wells Fargo bank parking lot for a wagon ride through the streets of Freehold. There will be quite a few live skits to enjoy. The roads will be closed to through traffic.

Bring your gorgeous and creative carved pumpkins and a candle to the Hall of Records on Main Street, Freehold. Pumpkins are judged by everyone attending. Jack-0-Lantern registration 6 pm till 7 pm. Winners announced at 7:45. Live entertainment, games, dancing and contests. Numerous prizes will be given out to winners. Complimentary refreshments will be served. Spooktacular Parade and Costume Contest Sunday October 30th! Costume contest judging 12:00 noon till 12:45 at Freehold Raceway Parking lot between Park Ave (Rt 33) and Manalapan Ave. Parade steps off at 1:00 pm. Traditionally, over 800 adults and children line up for this costume parade at the Freehold Raceway parking lot off Manalapan Ave. Prizes are awarded in variety of categories. The parade steps off near the Raceway parking lot, heads to Mains Street and ends at Hall of Records where the trophies are awarded. Don't miss the Regional High School bands, antique fire trucks, classic cars, bagpiper, and many little ghosts and goblins from all over western Monmouth County rounding out the fun.
