Gilbriar, is a well thought out, and highly functional space for events, as well as a fully self sustainable garden with rain water collection system. This aerial photo was taken this past April, from a drone high above Gilbriar looking to the northeast back towards Fredericksburg, TX. Starting on the right, is the old historic, now remodeled homestead on the property (inside not accessible to guests). Just to the left of the homestead is an all organic produce and flower garden. This garden is kept watered throughout the year, by the rainwater cistern built under the floor of the Gazebo. Guests are more than welcome to walk around and enjoy this garden space, during events. To the left of this garden is the Gazebo, which is now fully surrounded by a native Texas wildflower garden, which is watered from the round roof above. This is where ceremonies are held, and where guests can leisurely enjoy, before and after. To the left of the Gazebo, is the Barn with two silos out front. The Barn is used as our celebration event space, and is open to all of our guests during events. The large roof of the barn is what captures the rain water that fills the cistern under the Gazebo. The parking lot seen to the left of the Barn, is for caterers and other wedding services to gain access away and out of view from guests. This parking lot allows wedding services to pull right up to the kitchen door, with obstruction free entry and exit. Back front and center, is a guest house, available as an additional event rental space for weekend festivities. If you'd like to take a tour of the grounds, please first check out our website linked in our profile above, then give us a call or email us. Looking forward to hearing from y'all!
