Looking for a flexible way to join us this fall? We offer **weekly drop-in opportunities** in select Milestones groups based on availability!

Drop-ins may be available for:

👶 Infant & Toddler Developmental Groups
🧸 Preschool Developmental Groups
🎶 Music Classes

✨ How do drop-ins work?

Drop-in availability is released **week by week** based on space available after our semester-enrolled families. Availability may vary, and some groups may not have drop-in openings every week.

Drop-ins are a great option for families who want to experience a group before enrolling, need more flexibility in their schedule, or simply want to join us when they can!

What does a developmental group at Milestones actually look like? 🌿

It looks like play — but there is so much happening within that play. 💛

✨ Moving, climbing, carrying & exploring
✨ Practicing communication with peers and adults
✨ Learning to wait, take turns & problem-solve
✨ Building independence through meaningful routines
✨ Creating, pretending, making music & getting messy
✨ Developing confidence in a small, supportive group

Our developmental groups are inspired by the skills and activities we use across Occupational, Speech, Music, and Yoga Therapies — while remaining child-led, playful, and focused on meaningful participation.

There isn’t one “right” way to participate. We meet children where they are and create opportunities for them to learn, play, and grow from there. 🌱

🍂 Fall groups begin September 7, and we are currently finalizing enrollment for our Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Elementary, and Music & Movement groups.

What looks like “just play” is actually so much more. 🌿

Swipe through these photos and you’ll see children digging, scooping, pouring, spraying, mixing, building, creating, and working together. What you may not see is everything they’re developing along the way.

✨ Fine motor skills
✨ Bilateral coordination
✨ Grip strength
✨ Visual-motor integration
✨ Sensory processing
✨ Executive functioning
✨ Cooperative play
✨ Imaginative play
✨ Problem-solving and creativity

There wasn’t one “right” way to play. Each child approached the invitation differently—experimenting, collaborating, pretending, discovering, and following their own ideas.

At Milestones, our tuff trays are intentionally designed to invite exploration while naturally supporting developmental skills through meaningful, child-led play. We don’t separate play from learning—we know they’re one and the same.

Sometimes the messiest moments create the most meaningful learning. 💛

🐛 This Week’s Play Shelf: Bugs & Caterpillars! 🦋

A peek into this week’s prepared environment at Milestones! Every week, we thoughtfully refresh our play shelf and create a new invitation to play based on our weekly theme.

📚 Our bug-themed shelf is filled with books, puzzles, sensory materials, and open-ended activities that encourage children to explore, wonder, and learn through play.

🌈 This week’s invitation to play features a colorful caterpillar sorting activity using pom-poms, rings, and fine motor tools. Children may sort by color, transfer materials, create their own games, or simply explore the materials in their own way—there’s no single “right” way to play.

At Milestones, we believe the environment is a teacher. By offering beautiful, purposeful materials, we invite children to follow their curiosity while naturally developing fine motor skills, problem-solving, language, creativity, and confidence.

We can’t wait to see what our little explorers discover this week! 🐞🐛🦋

🍂 Fall Enrollment is Now Open!

We're so excited to welcome families to our Fall 2026 semester at Milestones Play Gym & Pediatric Therapy!

Our therapist-informed, play-based developmental groups provide children with meaningful opportunities to build confidence, social skills, communication, problem-solving, and independence through engaging, child-led experiences.

This fall we are offering:

✨ Infant Play Group
✨ Toddler Development Group
✨ Preschool Program
✨ Elementary Enrichment Groups
✨ Music & Movement

Our small group sizes allow us to create an environment where every child is supported, encouraged, and celebrated while learning alongside peers.

The Shelf: Camping Week Edition ⛺️

It’s been a busy season at Milestones!

Between settling into our new space, welcoming new families, and planning for the upcoming fall, we’ve had a lot happening behind the scenes.

One of my favorite things about being an occupational therapist is getting a front-row seat to growth. Sometimes that growth looks big—learning a new skill or reaching a goal. Other times it looks like following a schedule, trying a new activity, answering a question, or simply feeling confident enough to try something new.

As we continue settling into our home at 309 Chatham Heights Road, I find myself feeling incredibly grateful—for our families, our team, and the opportunity to do this work every day.

Milestones has changed so much over the years, but one thing has always remained the same: my passion for helping children and supporting families.

We have so many exciting things planned for this fall, and I can’t wait to share more with you in the coming weeks.

Thank you for being part of our journey.
