The Savory Spoon spent the first ten years in business nurturing relationships with local small businesses and seeking area food artisans eager to contribute unique recipes to our pantry. We pride ourselves in gradually replacing our paper products and serving pieces with recycled goods and eco-friendly items. We offer hormone-free meat and dairy products, and Farmer’s Market quality produce as it

becomes locally available. We use our own homemade recipes and mix it up with sauces and jams from local small businesses. Our fresh meal packages delivered safely to your door began as a way to survive the pandemic and serve our community. Now that we have a regular clientele we plan to keep offering this service within Frederick & Washington Counties. Cheri Thompson, the owner of the company has 40 years of catering and hospitality experience, executing hundreds of events from beginning to end with the help of other trusted professionals. We partner with the best vendors in the area, and will be as involved as you want us to be along the way. At The Savory Spoon, we firmly believe in delivering “Nothing But The Best” to you. We offer ongoing discounts to active military, and work with non-profit organizations and fund-raising efforts. The Savory Spoon is a full service off premise catering company. Our kitchen is located in The Clustered Spires Pastry Shop at 285 Montevue Lane in Frederick, MD. We can meet with you there to discuss the details of your event. This is also where we host tastings & offer pick up service for meal packages and smaller catering orders. We are licensed to deliver freshly prepared cuisine right to your home, office or venue. We have a full service professional staff of servers & bartenders, and provide our own commercial grade serving equipment in most cases. Special Details:
The Savory Spoon also offers services to customize your event beyond the culinary experience. These special touches ensure ultimate comfort to your guests, and let them know how much you care. The Savory Spoon has a variety of decor pieces & simple centerpieces including mirrors, votive holders, vintage serving pieces, mason jars and lanterns. We are happy to provide these at no extra charge for your convenience. We also offer beautiful depression glass and tiered serving trays for showers & tea parties for a nominal fee.

🌼The Darne Bloomers garden club enjoyed a delicious lunch surrounded by beautiful flowers and a serene setting.🌳Our chilled lunch menu is our most popular, and we always personalize the presentation, depending on the colors & theme. Even our disposable serving pieces offer many attractive options. 🌸 The ladies added some sweet decor to the tables, which made my job so easy! The Clustered Spires Bakery always creates beautiful desserts, and the gluten sensitive guests even enjoyed delicious cookies with their gluten-free meal. 👩‍🍳 This venue is one of my favorites. The simple elegance is welcoming, and the perfectly manicured grounds delight every visitor! 🌻

This photo from our favorite BBQ place needs no AI to be the most beautiful ribs in Frederick! 🐖 💙 Rest assured, we will never post a fake photo of our food either! I don't understand this trend of posting stock or AI photos to advertise a business' food. Ours may not be "picture perfect," but it will be delicious and authentically ours. No false advertising allowed here! Rant over...🙄

📣UPDATE: We are officially SOLD OUT of our final menu package in less than 24 hours! The overwhelming response has me reeling! Thank you for so many "unexpected" years of serving the community with meals from the heart! ❤️ Please remember to reach out to Sara Kep's Kitchen & Set the Table LLC and support them! 👩‍🍳Say hello to our final Meal Package #316, as we bid farewell to this program after more than six years of serving the most wonderful clients in the community & beyond. 😢 This was meant to be a temporary effort to help get through the Covid pandemic. I never dreamed this emergency "Plan B" would last past a few months! Unfortunately, it has become unsustainable, & rather than raising prices beyond what I think are reasonable in order to make a modest profit, I have decided this is a good time to go back to the original focus on custom catering in my final few years before retiring. ⚾️ Mark was surrounded by family & friends for his sports themed birthday party last night! 🏈 He loves all of the local teams, so it was difficult to pick colors, but we figured it out. We just used all of them!
🧡 ❤️ 💜 The finger foods and charcuterie were flowing, and the guests were already devouring the food as I was leaving! 🏒 Remember, we are not your typical "drop-off" caterer. Make your guests feel extra special with our diverse menu offered at an affordable price!
