Facebook is kneecapping writers and our audiences!
I regularly share my blog and article links here with you. Doing so drives readers to my blog site, associate sites and often generates fun and lively discussions, right here on Facebook.
I make just enough money from my blog page for it to pay for itself. And unless I’m writing for Petapixel or a larger publisher, I am not paid for my work.
I share my writing in order to provide, useful information and motivating anecdotes to the film photography community. Not to get rich, not even to earn a profit. Frankly, it’s bad business on my part. It’s a passion project and a sidecar to my photo business.
But now, if I want to post more than just TWO LINKS PER MONTH, I need to pay about triple my income from Meta and Wordpress combined.
Upgrading my account as they are requiring would drain my already strained finances as a working artist. Not upgrading limits my reach exponentially by not feeding the algorithms.
***This is how you can help me, help the film community!***
If you haven’t already, please subscribe to my blog!
And when you are subscribed, please make your comments on the actual blogs. Or consider sharing my links on your non-business FB and IG accounts.
Let’s work to keep traffic and engagement on Wordpress and not give in to Meta’s outlandish demands.
Thanks to everyone who reads, comments, likes, disagrees and shares my work! I could do all this without you, but man would it be lonely! Haha 🤓
