Three years ago, I planted my first sunflower while I was deep in the trenches of postpartum. I didn’t know much about growing flowers yet — but I knew I needed something to nurture that wasn’t asking anything of me in return.
That sunflower was ProCut White Nite.
And I fell in love.
There’s something about the way it holds itself — pale, soft-centered, a little different from the bold golden varieties people expect — that felt like exactly what I needed that season.
It became the first of many varieties I’d grow, and it’s still my all time favorite today.
Every time these come into bloom, I think back to that first trench, that first seed, and how far this farm has come since then. 🌻
