The FoxFest Music Festival and Camp Out

4 years ago FoxFest began as the Birthday party that turned into 5 music festivals. We've created some great memories together each time we've done it and somehow we even got enough attention to get interviewed by The Wall Street Journal a couple years ago. I know it has been a while since many of you have heard from us, but we wanted all our guests and supporters to know we haven't forgotten about the amazing and magical moments we experience with you by being a part of FoxFest. We aren't yet at a point to make detailed plans or set any dates, but we would be interested in having some conversations with folks interested in being part of the effort to bring FoxFest back again. In the meantime, keep us in mind for future happenings and hopefully we'll have good news about our plans in the next few months. Thanks again to all of you for being part of The FoxFest!

Thank you all for being part of Spring FoxFest 2014! It takes a unique combination of musicians, fire performers, craft vendors, loving fans, plus some hard-working volunteers and staff to make this possible. This year we persevered over some challenges from the rain, etc., but our volunteers and staff worked hard to put on this show and got through every challenge thrown at them. The quality of music we had this year was excellent with our best and biggest lineup to date and our sound & light engineers were at the top of their form as always.

We don't yet know what the future holds for us, but thank you again for supporting us and helping us to create so many great memories!

New venue is officially booked! It's a beautiful, secluded site about 30 minutes north of Durham, with lots of wooded and creekside camping.

Update on Land Selection:

Our directors have been looking at a new site and working out details with the landowners for the past few weeks, but we plan to (finally) make a formal announcement about it this weekend. After that, we can start allowing our invited guests to log in to our website to get directions and buy tickets. Thanks for all the suggestions and offers for new festival sites, we appreciate the effort by everyone in helping us to find a good site that we'll all enjoy!

We can tell you the following about the new location: It's just under 90 minutes from the center of the Triad (or just over an hour from Greensboro), there will be lots of beautiful wooded (and even some creekside) camping, we already have one stage onsite ready to go, and parking may be limited. So there will be a $10 parking fee per vehicle to help encourage carpooling and to cover wear and tear on the land from all the cars, etc.

We are recruiting some volunteers to help green team finish sorting and hauling out trash and recycling. We also need a few strong hands again for some more heavy lifting to put that house back in the barn (what strange things we end up doing to hold festivals). We expect both of these small projects will be happening over the next few days. Please contact us if you are able and interested. Thank you!

Today only (Wednesday) we have been offered the chance to barter some of our labor for a mix of tix, gas, etc. to help move a house out of a barn! If you or someone you know is in good shape and available TODAY to help for a few hours, we'd like to talk to them!

For anyone available to do some Heavy lifting today, we are willing to barter with you to help move some large things at the site, since we just found out late yesterday that we have to move (the pieces of) a house out of the barn today. It needs to be moved by at least late this afternoon or early evening. Earliest we'll start is around 2pm this afternoon if we have enough people by then (approx. 6-8 sets of hands at one time). Otherwise, we'll at least go out by around dinner time (5 or 6pm) to make it happen with whomever we can gather.

Please contact us through Facebook message or by email to discuss further. If you aren't able or available, we'd still appreciate it if you could pass on the word that we're looking for some quick day labor among the greater FoxFest festival family.
