We will be providing Valentine Card craft supplies at each pool in the little library boxes, available Saturday morning, February 5th. We will have several ziplock bags with supplies in each little library station. Each ziplock bag will have what you need to make one card. Supplies are limited so please be respectful of others and only take one per child. Please have your children make Valentines for the elderly and deliver them to the clubhouse by end of the day on Friday, February 11th. If you have extra construction paper at home, please feel free to make extra cards. Jessica will be delivering these cards to Maristone of Franklin, a 54 bed assisted living & memory care center.
This event is virtual (supplies to be picked up and completed at home).

It’s that time of the year when we make Ladd Park look beautiful and bright by displaying white luminaries on the road in front of your home on December 12! Each home will light the luminaries at the same time for a beautiful lights display.

Luminaries pick up: Friday, December 10 and Saturday December 11 9am-3pm
Luminaries lighting: Sunday, December 12 beginning at 6pm

This year there is no sign up to be a part of the luminaries event. Based on the positive feedback last year, we have purchased luminaries for every house in the neighborhood. Each house that signs up will get 10 luminary bags and candles (corner lots receive double). Luminary bags are placed on the sidewalk in front of your home about 5 feet apart. A candle is placed inside and they are typically weighted down with sand. Detailed instructions for setting up luminaries will be emailed to you in advance.

Supply pick up will be in the driveway of various Ladd Park homes. You can go to the location near your home to pick the supply. Pick up location details will be sent out soon.

You will need to provide your own weights for the bags. We recommend 2 cups of sand per bag (one large bag of sand could be shared by multiple houses), but you can use other things such as rocks or household items. Just be sure they won't be damaged by the candle fire or by being outside in the street.

Luminaries should be lit at 6pm on Sunday, December 12 and stay lit until they burn out. Rain date is December 13 if needed.

Bags should be removed from the street once they get damaged or rained on, but no later than December 14. Please recycle the bags if possible.
