Hey Bay City, COMEDY NIGHT AT SCOTTY’S SANDBAR!

Sunday, October 18, Derek Richards hits the stage. You’ve seen/heard him on Dry Bar Comedy, SiriusXM, The Bob & Tom Show, BlazeTV, and in Don’t Suck with Matt Rife and Jamie Kennedy.

Kicking off the laughs is Matt Conn, a nationally touring Michigan favorite who’s performed at the World Famous Comedy Store and Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle plus he wrote and directed the comedy pilot Life’s Not Fair and the award winning short film Personal Storage.

💙 YOUR COMEDY TICKET DOES MORE THAN JUST BUY A LAUGH.

There are some things we do as a company that we don’t talk about very often. This is one of them. The beautiful kid you see in these first photos is Ryder Finkle. His dad, Tim Finkel, is a comedian, a friend, and someone who has worked with The Comedy Series many, many times… helping us create laughter in rooms all across Michigan.

Ryder was battling DIPG, an aggressive pediatric brain cancer. His time here was heartbreakingly short, but his life was anything but small.

Ryder left an imprint on so many people including us. The love, laughter and lessons that came through knowing his story didn’t leave when he did. Through Ryder’s journey, we became aware of Aidan Hutchinson, the Hutchinson family, House of Hutch and Hutch Heroes — and we got to see what it looks like when people use their platform for something so much bigger than themselves.

They show up for kids and families walking through the unimaginable. They create moments of joy. They bring smiles into hospital rooms. And maybe most importantly, they remind these kids that they are seen, loved and not forgotten.

Once you’ve witnessed that kind of love in action, it’s hard to just walk away from it. So The Comedy Series became a monthly donor, and we continue to give today.

So every time you buy a ticket, bring your friends to a show, hire us for an event, or support this little Michigan comedy company, you’re helping support things like this.

Some of the money you spend laughing with us gets to travel a little farther. It gets to help someone else smile. And sometimes that smile belongs to a child and a family who desperately need one.

So today, we just want to say thank you to Aidan Hutchinson, the Hutchinson family, and everyone behind this mission for loving on these kids and reminding them that they matter.

I also watched Melissa in Rose City and West Branch where I had a minute to chat with her! Melissa is very approachable and a kind person!I’ve been listening to Johnny and Steph on classic rock 103.9 The Fox Radio Station for over 10 years where Melissa is a regular!
