Growing Together
Every time a local farm is sold to developers, the community asks, “How could this happen?”
The truth is, it usually doesn’t happen overnight.
Family farms face rising costs, unpredictable weather, equipment repairs, taxes, and countless hours of hard work. Many farmers don’t want to sell their land—but sometimes they’re left with few other options.
If we truly want to preserve the farms that make Foster such a special place, our support can’t begin after the “For Sale” sign goes up.
It starts now.
It starts by buying local produce, choosing local flowers, visiting farm stands, attending farm events, and encouraging friends and neighbors to do the same. Every purchase is a vote for keeping farmland in farming.
At Hope Farms, we’re committed to continuing our family’s farming tradition, but it takes a community to keep local agriculture alive.
If you want farms to remain part of our landscape for future generations, please remember that the best way to protect them is to support them while they’re still here.
Thank you to everyone who shops local, shares our posts, and believes in the value of family farms. Your support makes more of a difference than you know. 🌱💚
