With Women’s History Month upon us I can’t help but reflect on my journey as a woman in the destination management business. It’s been a ride filled with incredible highs, challenging lows, and everything in between. But as we celebrate Women’s History Month, my heart is particularly full thinking about the amazing women who’ve been part of my story.

From the very start, it was the strong women around me who showed me what’s possible. I’m talking about my Mom who taught me to never doubt my value, my colleague who stayed late to help me finish a proposal or load the last coach after an event, and a mentor who always had the right words when the going got tough. These women didn’t just help shape my career; they showed me the power of kindness, resilience, and solidarity.

In this industry, we’re in the business of creating unforgettable experiences, but it’s the behind-the-scenes moments of support and encouragement from fellow women that truly make our work shine. We celebrate every win together, tackle every challenge head-on, and lift each other up, no matter what.

To all the women who’ve walked this path with me - from those early supporters to the women on my team that I am lucky enough to work with every day, and new connections that continue to inspire me - thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your strength, wisdom, and friendship mean the world to me. Together, we’ve not only built a business- we’ve built a community.

Here’s to continuing to support, empower, and celebrate each other, not just this month, but every day. To the women who’ve paved the way and those who are just starting out, remember, we are stronger together, and there’s nothing we can’t achieve.

The last King tide in California for the next nine months is hitting on February 9th. It’s when the sun, moon, and Earth line up, giving us super high tides and the best low tides for tide pooling. Make the most of this chance to explore the shore.
Remember:
1. **Respect Marine Life**: Always observe sea creatures and plants without touching, moving, or removing them.
2. **Watch Your Step**: Tread lightly and carefully around tide pools to avoid harming the fragile ecosystems.
3. **Leave No Trace**: Take only photos, leave only footprints. Ensure you don’t leave behind any trash, and avoid taking souvenirs like shells or rocks from the tide pools.
4. **Check the Tides**: Plan your visit according to the tide schedule. Low tide is the best time for tide pooling, offering the safest and most revealing view of marine life.
5. **Safety First**: Always be aware of your surroundings and the incoming tide to avoid getting caught in a dangerous situation. Wear appropriate footwear for slippery rocks, and never turn your back to the ocean.

Lands End Trail in the Sutro District of Golden Gate National Recreation Area is by far one of the best places for a hike in San Francisco.

The area has miles of trails and provides stunning coastal terrain all while giving you views of the Golden Gate Bridge from many different angles.

The trail passes by the historic points of Sutro Baths, the USS San Francisco Memorial, and you might even see migrating whales. A short trek off the main Lands End Trail leads to scenic Mile Rock Beach and the Lands End Labyrinth.
