Late Summer through Autumn are super hot and harried months on the farm - working hard from dawn to dusk. When it’s time to eat, I need something fast, fresh, hearty, portable, delicious and bursting with micro-nutrients to keep me going. Get your micro-green fix on with this delicious Sunny Sampler - or any of the many varieties of micro-greens sustainably grown by in Humboldt County! 😋 Great for kids’ sandwiches in school-box lunches too! I love them in sandwiches, burritos, omelets, smoothies and, of course, in salads. 🌱

Here comes Shiro! These yellow flesh Japanese Shiro plums will be ripe enuf to start bringing this Saturday July 19th to the Arcata Farmers Market (9 a.m. to 2 on the Arcata Plaza) along with our Early Santa Rosa plums! These are sweetest when soft and they soften the fastest in a paper bag. Look for the Jameson Creek Ranch booth on G street between palmercreekfarm and Forrest Lake Nursery!

I will miss the Arcata Farmers Market today. I’m on post-surgery caretaker time for a loved one. Hope to make it out next week! Have a great weekend flower lovers! Coming soon: dahlias, lisianthus, garden roses, specialty hybrid goldenrod and snapdragons, eryngium as well as our tried and true blue Fama, limonium and the late summer return of the alstroemerias!

It was an absolutely gorgeous day at the Arcata Farmers Market yesterday! Thanks so much for coming out and taking home some fresh cut locally grown flowers 💐

Bouquets, dried rose petals, crispy sweet lettuce, fragrant lavender, strawberries & goat cheese, et cetera ad infinitum — what’s not to love?

For those of you who came to my booth at the Arcata Farmer’s Market last Saturday for some of these darling orange buddleia pom pom blossoms after they were sold out, I have more blooming now which have matured since then.
Please note that I may not be at the off-plaza farmer’s market this coming Saturday (it’s the kinetic sculpture race weekend); so please direct message me on instagram to talk about placing an order this week. We also have in bloom this week: lovely garden roses, sweat peas, Columbine, lavender & raspberry limonium (statice) and Peruvian lilies. (Offering retail & wholesale sales.)

It’s that time again! Every Spring, buddleia globosa blossoms (aka Chilean Orange Ball Tree) appear with their major whimsy vibes! They only bloom for a short window but they are well worth the wait! And the strong honey fragrance is unmistakable and charming. This coming Saturday, May 17th, we will have these blossoms in abundance in our fresh garden bouquets at the Arcata Farmers’ Market, from 9-2 on the Arcata Plaza. Hope to see you there! Wholesale sales to florists too - please DM me for wholesale prices. This plant is not invasive owing to its wingless seeds and it was awarded the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit 1993.
