Traditions are one of my favorite aspects of every wedding. For Kelly’s big day she put a penny in her shoe that was handed down from generation to generation.⁠⁠
This tradition Was made popular with a Victorian rhyme – “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and a sixpence in your shoe.” However, over the years, the term sixpence has been replaced with the term penny. And the penny was used to ensure the wealth and good fortune of the couple.⁠⁠

I will forever be OBSESSED with Jena’s delicate wedding cake this spring.⁠⁠
The mauve 3D florals cascaded down the cake and created a unique touch to her three tiered cake and was placed right next to the head table.⁠

This feminine palette was perfectly Jena! And it is a testimate to how grateful I am for the clients I get to work with.⁠⁠
She originally was planning on a mostly blush color scheme, but allowed us to push her a little out of the box with this lavender, fushia, white and pink palette 😍⁠

I vividly remember driving down the drive leading up to this venue a few years ago and getting goosebumps as we drove in.⁠⁠
The trees down the drive honestly took my breath away & I was immediately inspired.⁠⁠
For some designers their inspiration comes from fashion or interiors; however, mine is definitely from the outdoors. From the animals on the property to the landscaping that surrounds a client’s house or venue it always brings me a rush of inspiration or ideas.⁠

Family ranches are one of our favorite places to plan an event for our couples.⁠⁠
Not only is it a fun experience for guests, but each event feels so personal & one of a kind.⁠⁠
It honestly where we feel most at home & shine! ⁠⁠
Since most of these events require a tent or use of a barn on the property I am able to combine my architecture background & Texas roots to assure the event runs smooth & feels like “Texas” as I like to say.⁠⁠
And getting to be surrounded my cuties like this isn’t bad either 😍⁠
