✨ Today we get to celebrate Charly P. twice! ✨

Not only is she the City of Fort Worth Round Up News September Employee of the Month, but it’s also her birthday! 🥳🎂

Charly is one of those people who just makes everything brighter. She’s a cheerleader for her team, a mentor to so many, and a passionate advocate for the equestrian and events industry. She knows our venue inside and out, and she’s a terrific sales manager who always goes above and beyond for clients and colleagues alike. Whether she’s volunteering her time on The League of Agricultural & Equine Centers board, jumping in on internal committees, or lending her creative touch to our social media team, Charly always gives her all.

Her passion, knowledge, and energy are contagious—and we’re so lucky to have her on our team. 💜

📍 Official American Paint Horse Association's Halter Million show struts into the John Justin & Watt Arenas this weekend thru 9/28. Free to watch!
📍 Fort Worth ISD College Night takes place in the Texas Room on 9/23.
📍 WCHA Hall of Fame Banquet will be in the Round Up Inn on 9/24. This is a ticketed event.
📍 Employee Readiness & Career Workshop event will be in the Stagecoach on 9/26. You must pre-register for this event.
📍 The Original Fort Worth Gun Show hits the Texas Room this weekend, 9/27 & 28. Tickets available online or at the door.

🎉 We’re excited to share that Allison McNamara has been promoted from Interim General Manager to General Manager of WRMC! 🎉

Allison has been a part of the Public Events Department team since 2006, starting as a Public Events Coordinator before taking on other roles as an Account Tech and Senior Operations Manager. With nearly two decades of experience and education to WRMC, this promotion is a testament to her hard work, knowledge, and passion for the events industry. Her love for WRMC runs deep, she told us, "When I was growing up, my grandparents would travel from Scotland to visit. My grandfather loved horses, so we would come to WRMC all the time to watch the shows.” That early spark turned into a career built on commitment, growth, and leadership. In May of 2024, McNamara earned her Master of Public Administration degree from University of Texas at Arlington – and was part the City of Fort Worth's 1st Cohort in the program. McNamara has also earned several other industry certifications; she earned the Certified Venue Professional through IAVM, Lean Yellow Belt and is a graduate of IAVM’s Venue Management School. She understands how special the Will Rogers Memorial Center is to staff, clients & the community alike – and told us, “You would be hard-pressed to find a venue like WRMC in an area like the Cultural District anywhere else. The variety of events we can host simultaneously is incredible. WRMC is a special place to all Fort Worthians. Just about everyone has a special memory from graduations, horse shows, trade shows, and of course, the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo.” We couldn’t be prouder to see her step into this role — and we’re excited for what’s ahead with her leadership! 💫
