Keith House is the home of The Keith Skyspace, 2023, by artist James Turrell. When it opens in Fall 2023, the building and surrounding two acres will provide a welcoming space for moments of peace and contemplation. Daily at sunrise and sunset, weather permitting, the roof of Keith House will open to reveal an enchanting play between the sky’s changing light and light cast onto the ceiling. Visitors will watch from benches arrayed around the opening. In case of inclement weather, the roof will remain closed and another, equally fascinating display will take place. Other times of day, Keith House will be available for non-profits and community groups to host meetings, programs, events, and conversations. Keith House and The Keith Skyspace are a gift to the people of Fort Worth from Meta Alice Keith Bratten (1926–2007) through Entrada of Texas, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organized in 2018.

Ambient chamber duo Highway Lights performs beneath Come to Good, La Paloma Social Club hosts a DJ set in the Skyspace, The Portal returns for its monthly movement session, and Paul Oglesby’s exhibition opens in the gallery.

On Saturday mornings, Clearfork Community Yoga joins us on the grounds.

Sunset and sunrise viewings are offered regularly, as always.

John Wilson treats magic as a psychological fine art rather than a trick. After the performance, he takes a seat beneath Come to Good for tarot readings.

He has performed at The Magic Castle and consulted on David Lowery's A Ghost Story, offering, in his words, imaginary solutions for imaginary problems.

Two things worth your attention today!

Paul Oglesby joins us in the gallery, opening October 24. His sculptural columns (built from a system of stacked, repeating forms) will fill Keith House this fall, and we can't wait to share them.

And today is North Texas Giving Day. Exhibitions like Paul's are one of the two gifts Keith House gives Fort Worth: access to a James Turrell Skyspace, and a gallery that brings new artists to the community all year.

There are exactly 100 Turrell Skyspaces on earth. One of them is here, on the Trinity Trails, in Fort Worth.

James Turrell has spent a lifetime exploring what light can do to a space, and to the people inside it. Come to Good is his permanent gift to this city: a space where the sky does something you didn't know it could do, and no two people walk away with the same experience.

As dusk fades to dark, enjoy a fascinating play between the twilight sky, visible through the open roof, and changing light on the Skyspace dome.

In our gallery you can view the exhibition by artist Stella Alesi. She will be giving an artist’s talk at 2 pm. No tickets necessary.

Stella Alesi’s work (on loan from Artspace 111) will be on display through October 10th.
