Recently Races2U worked with Pinnacle to build a track that looked like a race track but was not for racing. It's purpose was to demonstrate the high speed video capture and AI processing of a new camera system by Advantech. There were no humans driving the cars, but rather, when you pushed a button on the side of the track, the cars would start driving for a short period of time and then stop. While the cars were driving, 4 cameras around the track were capturing the video in a lower resolution and sending it through an AI processor that would increase the resolution in real time. To accomplish this task, we used Carrera track and analog cars. We powered each lane using independent adjustable DC power supplies. This allowed the cars to be closely matched in speed if there were differences by adjusting the voltage on one lane or the other.

The annual Brentwood Days Festival just outside of St. Louis took place this year on Sept 18th and 19th at the Brentwood Recreation Center. There was live music, a carnival, food from many local vendors, and Races2U slot car racing. Kids and adults from 7 to 70 were having a good time racing the cars around the track.

Mod42 is an industry leader in developing and deploying modular data centers. Because of their advanced technology and construction techniques, they are able to deploy their data centers at more than twice the speed and half the cost of traditional data centers. Because they are engineered for speed, racing was a natural metaphor for their services. Races2U was their partner in bringing the speed and excitement of slot car racing to their booth at the Yotta Conference in Las Vegas. We created Mod42 branded cars, track barriers, and even pit buildings to highlight the brand, and many attendees took photos and videos of the setup. You.Com had Races2U set up a slot car track as their activation for the 2026 Salesforce DreamForce conference at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. You.com is the leading web search APIs for AI.There were over 40,000 attendees at the week long tech conference. During this time, over 1300 people raced on our slot car track. It was a big hit, as you can see from all the smiling faces!
