This Friday!

Join us for First Friday at the Modern from 5 to 8 pm this Friday, April 5 for an exciting evening of art and fashion! This special First Friday features a runway show presented by Fort Worth Fashion Week.

“The Future” fashion runway show starts at 7 pm and is a first-of-its-kind collaboration, as Texas universities come together in Fort Worth to showcase the future of fashion. Watch as aspiring fashion designers unveil their designs on the runway with special guest host NBC DFW News Anchor, Evan Anderson. Reserved seating is available for purchase. As always during First Fridays, tasty light bites and specialty drinks will be available for purchase by Cafe Modern. Featured items on the menu include hummus with tapenade and a cheese and charcuterie box. For a more elevated and intimate dinner experience, enjoy a sit-down meal at Café Modern’s indoor or patio dining areas!

Make plans before the fashion show to join the complimentary 20-minute docent-led tour at 6:30 pm focusing on artworks in “Surrealism and Us” by Elliot and Erick Jiménez, Ja’Tovia Gary, and Kenny Rivero.

FWFW Presents FWISD "NEXT GEN" Fashion Show benefitting Fort Worth Independent School District's Fashion Design Program✨ 

A special evening as fashion design students showcase their Spring/Summer ‘24 collections at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History! Inspired by the beauty of Spring and Summer, the collections encourage self expression through vibrant colors, textures, and silhouettes. Watch as designs from young creative minds come to life on the runway!

Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the FWISD’s Fashion Design Program to support the education of young fashion designers!❤️

The high school fashion design programs at Trimble Tech and Diamond Hill-Jarvis are unique as the district’s only places where student designers receive a full 4 years in developing industry-level design skills. Donations will help fund the necessary materials needed for the program such as fabrics and sewing tools and equipments.
