Honey Plant and How We Came to Be(e)
Honey Plant specializes in botanical designs, which mainly includes making living art from desert and tropical plants. These are easy-to-care-for plants that come in unique shapes, textures, and colors. We offer container gardens for all occasions as well as a rotating assortment of vertical/hanging displays. We also design custom arrangements for weddings and events.
Going beyond plants, however, is that we deeply care about our pollinators, native bees and honey bees. Our goal is to help local honey-makers and beekeepers sell their products as well as establish our own hives over time. Our plants and people rely heavily on the continued success and survival of our nectar-loving friends.
We are Cassandra and Logan and are originally from Indiana (Logan grew up in Fort Wayne). After graduating from Ball State, we moved to Austin, TX, for eight years to see what we could do and learn- and we learned a lot! Logan continues working as creative director for an advertising company based in Austin and Cassandra learned the art of floral arranging, plant designing, and floral photography. Both of us also developed a strong interest in protecting our beneficial pollinators after attending beekeeping workshops and actively learning more about humans’ relationships with plants and bees. Now, back in Indiana and closer to family, we hope to bring the joy of succulents, cacti, green leafy plants, and honey to Fort Wayne!

There are so many great places to explore within a short distance of Promenade Park including Honey Plant!
"In 2022, it tripled the size of its storefront on the Wells Street Corridor, and it’s preparing to add a new location at the Electric Works Union Street Market, a 20-plus merchant daily public market scheduled to open in October."
I absolutely LOVE this place. They have a beautiful selection of plants at very reasonable prices and the couple who own the business are very helpful and sweet. I highly recommend Honey Plant for all of your greenary needs.
We’re at the grand opening of Honey Plant’s expansion. Pink princesses, Valentine’s Day pots, peat-free potting mixes and more.
Cassandra, I had THE perfect pot for this fella! Love it! 😍
With all this talk of shipping delays and supply chain issues, the news has been urging consumers to start buying Christmas gifts sooner than later.
But what if you did something radical this year- buy all your gifts from small or local businesses?
Buying from businesses here in town will guarantee your product is not out of stock or delayed in shipment. Buying small & local also gives you a chance to connect with local business owners, artisans, and craftsmen who are passionate about what they do.
How much of your gift shopping is small & local? Let us know your favorite places to support in the comments.
A few of our favorite places to shop include Hopscotch House , Blessing Moon Herbs LLC , Modest Wick Candle Co. and Honey Plant

Tripp (the grounded puppy) was left unattended while I showered and killed my new baby 🪴 😢 let's be honest, there was a good chance I was going to kill it anyway 😬

🌿 Plants that don't "succ" 🌿
"You don't have to have a green thumb to raise these little guys in your home. Succulents are low maintenance and easy to take care of."
