✨ A night that was truly unforgettable ✨

As many of you know, In 2 the Night Events by Shantel Nicole was a top nominee in the Event & Experience Design category at the very first Fort Wayne Creative Awards!

While I didn’t take home the award, I can honestly say I still feel like a winner. The honor of being nominated alongside such an incredible group of creatives is something I can’t even put into words. I saw my name in lights, my logo on the backdrop, walked a red carpet, and sat in a room full of talent, love, and community. Hearing my name called, standing on stage, and even having the Mayor of Fort Wayne know who I am now (!!) are memories I’ll never forget.

I laughed, I cried, celebrated, hugged so many amazing people, made new friends, cried some more, and shared it all with my incredible wife by my side. To be in such a safe, inclusive space, feeling on top of the world, is indescribable.

💜 A few shoutouts of appreciation:
• To my wife Paige Dean— my partner in business and life. She shows up for every set-up, tear-down, and event. She holds me through the highs and the lows, and she lets me chase my dreams. I’ll never have enough thank-yous for that. Thank you for believing in I2tNE as much as I do, and for believing in me when somedays I struggle to believe in myself!

• To Amber, Mariah, and the Local Archive for creating this event and making it a safe space filled with community and love.

• To everyone who nominated and voted for me — I’m beyond grateful.

• To the amazing hosts, sponsors, and especially The Local Le***an for being part of this magical evening.

• And to my family, friends, and community who have believed in me, supported me, saved the day more than once, and cheered me on every step of the way.

When I started In 2 The Night Events, I simply wanted to pour my passion for events, people, and community into something meaningful. Last night, I got to see just how far that passion has carried me. My goal has always been to create safe, inclusive spaces where dreams come true, visions come to life, and memories are made to last a lifetime, and you feel the magic in the room — and I’m doing exactly that.

To top it all off, I got to experience this milestone right next to one of my best friends, with our business logos side by side on the red carpet. Pinch me, because it still doesn’t feel real. Im so incredibly proud of her too!

Yesterday will forever be one of the most special moments in my journey. From the call saying I was nominated, to seeing my name in print, to standing on stage representing something so precious to me — I’ll cherish it always.

I don’t even have the right words to fully express the gratitude that I have fort Amber Reid, the creator of The Creativesfw!

Amber, YOU made this happen. You poured your heart into creating something unforgettable, safe, inclusive, and beautiful — and you trusted us to be your décor sponsor for the very first ceremony. That trust, and the opportunity to be part of such a life-changing event, is something I will carry with me forever. Thank you for inviting me, my wife, and my business into something so incredible.

Our story goes deeper than just last night. Amber and I first met after a really difficult moment in my life — when Paige and I lost our wedding photographer. I was devastated and honestly didn’t think I had the room or energy to make new connections. But then came Amber. From the very beginning, she showed us compassion, sacrifice, and love that we’ll never forget. She didn’t just step in; she gave us a sense of community, of being seen and cared for. In that moment, what felt like a loss turned into a gift, because it brought Amber into our lives.

Since then, she’s continued to inspire me with her strength, her determination, and her ability to wear so many hats while still loving her people so well. She is an absolute force, and our community is better because of her.

Amber, thank you for your vision, your heart, and for creating something that will impact this city and its creatives for years to come. You are incredible, and I am so thankful to know you. 💜
