As we close out Black History Month, let’s remember these—and countless other—accomplishments that continue to shape our world. We have LOTS to be proud of.

From Carter G. Woodson, who established the study of Black history, to Katherine Johnson, whose calculations helped send astronauts to space; from Thurgood Marshall, the first Black U.S. Supreme Court Justice, to Madam C. J. Walker, one of America’s first self-made women millionaires; and Mae Jemison, the first Black woman in space—these achievements reflect resilience, brilliance, and leadership.

Black history is American history, lived every day. We honor the past, celebrate the present, and continue building the future—together. ✊🏾

Spilling the Tea (STT) is proud to announce its launch as a nonprofit organization. Spilling The Tea is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization created after recognizing that limited resources were available for African American women and girls in Prince George’s County, Maryland, and the surrounding communities. STT aims to meet the needs of the communities we serve by addressing and eliminating trauma barriers that prevent us from this reaching our full potential.
