An Evening with EG Kight
On Friday, June 13 at 7:00 PM, the Barnhardt Event Center welcomes one of the South's most beloved performers, EG Kight.
Known as "The Georgia Songbird," EG has spent decades entertaining audiences across the United States and around the world with her powerful voice, masterful guitar playing, and unforgettable storytelling. Her musical roots run deep through gospel, country, southern rock, and blues, creating a sound she proudly calls "country-flavored southern fried blues."
Before becoming an internationally recognized blues artist, EG shared stages with country legends including George Jones, Conway Twitty, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Merle Haggard. Along the way, she also performed with and alongside blues greats such as B.B. King, Koko Taylor, Taj Mahal, Hubert Sumlin, and Pinetop Perkins.
Whether you love classic country, southern rock, blues, gospel, or Americana, EG's show offers something special. Her concerts blend heartfelt originals, fan-favorite covers, rich Southern storytelling, and the kind of authentic musicianship that can only come from a lifetime on the road. Audiences consistently praise her warm personality, engaging stage presence, and the way she makes every show feel like a gathering of old friends.
From southern rock grooves to soulful blues ballads and country classics, EG Kight delivers a performance that speaks to the heart of Southern music.
