Established in 2019 with up to 1.5k attendees, Puchicon is an inclusive, community-driven anime and gaming convention I founded to celebrate pop culture, creativity, and fandom. Our mission is to create a vibrant, welcoming space where fans of all ages can connect, discover new artists and creators, and geek

out over their favorite games, anime, and cosplay. We’re especially passionate about uplifting underrepresented voices in the industry and fostering an environment where everyone feels like they belong. 👑 Your Queen Bee: Jen (aka The ADHD Latina Otaku Mom)

Credentials: Cosplayer since ‘04 🪡 | Anime stan since Toonami ruled 📺 | Gamer since Atari 64 was cool 🎮

Resume: 15+ years slaying marketing/events for giants like Samsung and LG 💼… but she’d rather talk about her failed 2006 Lelouch cosplay. Vibes: Imagine your hyperfixating Tía who also organizes cons. That’s Jen.

Thanks to Daman Mills (and other leaders in the community) for taking a quick and firm stance and inspiring many others to do so, and the fandom in general saying “heeeeelll no!”, Amazon already removed their AI English dubs. It is wise to listen to your audience so I need to give them credit for listening and responding.

Ultimately, the entire community: creators, writers, animators, producers, studios, directors, translators, time coders, adaptors, voice actors and fans ALL benefit when dubbing is done with integrity, humanity and talent!

I’m hoping that this leads Amazon to some more meaningful collaborations with living and existing, real life artists!!! (I cant believe I had to write that sentence).

This is a big win and one to be celebrated! 👏🏻

P.S. Just because you can, it doesn’t always mean it’s a good idea.

Puchi Con

Puchi Con aka Petite Con was created by a necessity of making cons fun and safe again! Have you ever gone to a con and the most that you do is go to the vendor aisle and that is when the vendors are outstanding?!

We wanted to make an amazing con that is by the same cosplayers, gamers, and otakus that go to cons, that know what is lacking. We want it to be a safe and happy environment for all ages and for it to have activities for all ages!

We wanted it to have panel and screenings, that you actually want to see, performances you actually want to experience and most of all the same intimacy that we bring to our events that go along with it and the friendships it will create! Also, an easy to get into panels and out of them! Not to mention to yummy food and magical experience Moe Mahou Maid Cafe will bring! So please join in our first year and help make it sugoi with your presence!
