During cocktail hour:
We're finishing the reception room flip, confirming place settings match the final seating chart, checking that every menu card and detail is exactly where it should be, and running a final walkthrough of the space before a single guest walks in.

During dinner service:
We're watching the room, tracking the timeline in real time, coordinating with catering on pacing, and quietly prepping for whatever's next — speeches, the cake cutting, the first dance — so every transition feels seamless.

During the "lull" after dinner:
We're cueing vendors for the next phase of the night, checking in on the couple and wedding party, and making sure the energy of the room doesn't dip as things shift from dinner to dancing.

During the reception itself:
We're watching the clock against the timeline, quietly solving small issues before they become visible ones, and making sure every remaining moment of the night — the bouquet toss, the send-off, the last call — happens exactly when it's supposed to.

Not all wedding contracts are created equal — and knowing what to look for before you sign can save you from major stress later. Here's what we always tell our couples to watch for. 👇

1️⃣ A vague or missing cancellation policy.
If a contract doesn't clearly spell out what happens in the event of a cancellation or rescheduling — for either party — that's a red flag. You should know exactly what you're entitled to, and exactly what you owe, before anything ever goes wrong.

2️⃣ No specifics on who's actually showing up.
Some contracts don't guarantee a specific photographer, planner, or team member by name — just "a member of our team." If who shows up on your wedding day matters to you, make sure that's written into the agreement, not just implied in your consultation.

3️⃣ No clarity on outside vendor policies.
Some contracts don't say whether you're free to bring in your own vendors or whether you're limited to a preferred list — and if outside vendors are allowed, whether that comes with an extra fee. Know this upfront so it doesn't turn into a last-minute scramble (or surprise charge) once you've already fallen in love with a vendor outside the list.

A good contract protects both sides. A vague one usually only protects the vendor. Read closely, and ask questions before you sign. 🤍

Where vendors park, how far they're carrying equipment, whether there's an elevator or stairs involved — we map this out in advance so setup runs smoothly on the actual day.

Lighting at different times of day.
We check how natural light moves through the space during the exact hours your ceremony and reception will take place, so we know where shadows fall and where the best light will be for photos.

Power access and outlet locations.
Bands, DJs, lighting, catering equipment — we confirm exactly where power is available and whether additional generators or extension cords will be needed before it becomes a day-of scramble.
