Happy Valentines Day!!
Ready to renew your vows or wanting to just get married already? I’m going to be doing a mass vow renewal and marriage ceremony in a few hours!. Yes - one of my many random things is that I’m a licensed officiant in the State of Florida 🙂
I hope this catches on! My couple this last weekend wanted a way to include the idea of a bouquet but without having to carry it. I suggested this and I love it! Drama and beauty! For him the entire lapel decorated with florals, and for him, an over the top pocket square.

The Knot compiles the data from everyone planning weddings for the upcoming year to put together the most insightful of any of the trend predictions into one report. So what should you take from the report and what should you toss?
Our special guest: Tom Chelednik - North America Associate Director of Vendor Engagement for The Knot Worldwide.
Tom Chelednik has over 25 years of experience in sales and marketing, with 16 specifically in the wedding industry. From 2008 - 2020, Tom held several sales positions at The Knot, including Regional Director of Sales and Director of Training and Enablement. He led teams instrumental in growing and retaining new business across 20 states and Canada, ultimately helping wedding professional book more weddings and grow their businesses.
During his time at The Knot, Tom traveled the country 70% of each year to speak with and learn from wedding professionals. Tom is passionate about sharing the knowledge he has gained over the years and continues to coach pros, specifically to help them increase their leads and bookings.
In addition to The Knot, Tom was the COO of The Treasury Venue Collection in St. Augustine, Florida, where he learned firsthand what it was like to operate a wedding venue. During that time, he also helped build an online learning platform called Venue Profit Pro, designed for wedding venues nationwide to improve their marketing and sales results.
Tom rejoined The Knot Worldwide in the summer of 2022 and is now The Director of Vendor Engagement. When he’s not traveling around the country, Tom spends time with his family, which now includes three grandchildren.

Thank you to everyone for the birthday messages! As I scrolled through the messages I was surprised by two things… the sheer number of them, but also that a large majority tugged at specific memories of how we met, a past event, or a wedding that I helped with. As I get older, I worry about if I’ve actually made a difference. And I realized that It may not have been a major moment, but hundreds of smaller moments. Like the hundreds of times I called BINGO for The Pride Center, or volunteering for a non profit (like SMART Ride) or planning a wedding, or providing a connection between two people that might not have happened otherwise. Thank you!! I am so blessed to have an amazing husband, an incredible mom,a loving mother-in-law, a brilliant God-Daughter, a brave nephew (who just returned from serving overseas thank god) and a good friends that make me laugh, remind me when I’ve gone off track, and then cheer my success. I love you guys so much.
I look forward to the next 40 years - that would make me 95 (feels like a good number to aspire to!)

Just getting around to posting this - but a few weeks back I had the pleasure to attend the Veils of Light event at the Alfred DuPont Building. Gorgeous! The Food was incredible! So nice to be able to be a guest once in awhile.

I started out in the non-profit segment. What I should say I was the Executive Director of a small non-profit call IMMMUNocise. It was a health and wellness program to help people with HIV live longer happier lives. This was in the 1990’s so a lot has changed in the years since but learning how to create incredible events with a twist has not! Being a small organization, I had to learn how to maximize what I had readily available, to create unusual and fun events that people would happily pay to be a part of, and to reinvent older fundraisers into something new and fresh.
In the time between then and now I worked my way up through hotels ending my career as The Director of Catering at The Ritz-Carlton Bal Harbour. I also worked with multiple event companies learning how to throw an event anywhere, and I do mean anywhere.
So when the time came to open Keith Willard Events I knew that it was a path that I was both ready for and happy to take on. My clients throw massive thousand person events to an intimate wedding for 20. Every event is unique and special. I give the same attention and vision to a client with a fundraising dinner for 50 or a wedding for 150. My pricing is straight forward and I make sure everyone leaves their event thinking that was the best event I have ever been to. I do everything from Concept To Completion and I make it easy.
I offer a variety of services that range from start to finish planning to day of. Not everyone needs the same assistance I want to be able to offer as many options as possible.
Sometime you don’t need a planner and I will tell you that. It’s only good karma to help as many people as possible because you never know when your good turn will lead to another.
