Hello & good morning everyone at this time Ute Lanes would like to acknowledge two of our youth bowlers Rain Trujillo & BaDuke Cesspooch who are learning the sport of bowling while being coached at Ute Lanes & have worked hard during the regular bowling season in tournaments. They both have been recognized as great competitors & have both qualified to compete in this years Junior Gold Bowling Tournament in Anderson Indianapolis. Keep up the hard work you both have been doing & keep going for the Gold. We are all very proud of you

3rd Annual Beehive Open

Rounding out the first half of the 2023 season, the West/Northwest Regions prepare to make our only stop of the year in Utah at Jack & Jills Entertainment Center in Lehi, UT. This facility is starting their 3rd event in as many years and this year will feature a sold out field of 88 bowlers. Owner, Sam Wadley, says this about bringing this event to his center and the Utah Bowling Community, "We are grateful and honored to be hosting this event for the third time! The success of any tournament is only possible from the support we get from the players. Thank you and Good Luck to everyone coming in for this event."

This years field of 88 players will feature only 1 National PBA Tour Champion, who is also the defending champion of this event, Jake Peters of Henderson, NV. Along with Peters, the field will also feature 3 female bowlers looking to take down the guys. One of those females is PWBA Champion and international superstar, Daria Pajak of near by Bringham City, UT. Since this is our only trip to Utah during our season, the field also feature many local Utah Valley amateurs looking to go shoulder to shoulder with 15 other PBA Regional Champions in the field. Action starts this Friday as official practice session begins. A squad starts at 8:30am on Saturday morning followed by B Squad at 2:15pm. If you are in the area and want to see the PBA in person, stop by this beautiful facility and watch all the live action!

Here at The Ute Pro Shop we keep on learning to stay in-tuned with our bowlers along with new techniques & styles that the bowlers are developing. Today we trained on No Thumb Layouts with Bowling Science as our teachers today this ball is ready to have finger holes to be drilled & new inserts so it can hit the lanes to score that 300 game.

Some big news for the youth bowlers in the area

The United States Bowling Congress will shift the U20 division historically included in the Junior Gold Championships to a new event outside the structure of the Junior Gold program beginning in 2024.

The 2023 Junior Gold Championships in Indianapolis will be the last year for the U20 division to be conducted at Junior Gold. Starting at the 2024 Junior Gold Championships in Detroit, the event will be a youth-only event with U18 being the oldest division.

A new event will be launched in 2024 for young adults to continue competing on the national level. The new event will include a U20 division and introduce a U22 division.
