It’s hard to know what happens after the loss of a pet. If you believe what we believe, our pets help us send others into our lives to pick up the pieces broken by the one who had to go.
We believe this is what happened here.
Friday afternoon, this little pup followed someone walking down the Snell Crawford trail. That person did what they should have, and called this sweet little girl into animal control.
By Monday afternoon, we didn’t have a single lead on her and not a single soul came forward for her. Unfortunately right now, this feels like a pretty common occurrence for us. We posted her on Facebook in an attempt to find her people.
Turns out, we did just that.
Drake is family members with the person that called in, now Shylo, and immediately asked to come meet her. We were familiar with his story and all too familiar with the broken heart that comes along with the loss of a pet - Shylo instantly crawled in his lap and licked his face.
Whether it was the universe, or Drake’s last dog Chloe leading the way, we’re happy it happened.
