Nothing scheduled this year, taking it easy. Had one “no pay” rental in the fall so we scratched that mendo venue off our list. May get a few food events Rosa is working on. Still dreaming of a full kitchen trailer for her! Quite the storm!! Stay dry people! Happy new year!

well after a few private parties; rosa and i are going full throttle for the knyo benefit in caspar in the morning... rosa's already a whole afternoon into prepping and the sound gear is dialed in. i'll be on the outside doing my best to make people sound good; and rosa will be on the inside with her crew feeding the crowd!! hope to have some pics of the action soon!!!

well everything is dry, clean, fairly organized... waiting for covid to pass as most people are. but! we have a tiny project on labot day weekend!! steven bates will be playing live at piace downtown!! steven used his own personal sound system but we will bring some drapes for outdoor decor, tables with minimal chairs so the tables aren't packed, and maybe a few other things. behind piaci 120 west redwood ave fort bragg. this will be a loose outdoor project with masks required.

turbosound IQ18b #4 should be here monday when dave aka santa pulls up at the end of his ups route!!! our cover picture shows 2 of them on the left and right sides of the stage; but what you don't see is a third in the middle of the stage behind the stage skirt. for that dj event; it was a mono sub. our system now when used in full can have either 2 per side next to each other or stacked!! we also have a denon 7.1 surround rig with 8 balanced xlr output's so the prospects of large hall size movie nights with a full theater 7.1 surround sound is getting real close!!!

our first black light was a model that had 18 individual led's... it's cool but it emits this high frequency when it's on. the sound is like the high pitch from an old school tv but instead of going away as a tv would warm up(or not) the light just stays noisy. so we bought on of these 50 watt single led models. silent! easier to handle and all around better. after an event last night i had the "investment bug" and opted to buy a second one of these!! i would add one to each lighting tree way up high to enhance the colors that need to pop!!! i started with ordering another 5 pack of short 3 foot dmx cables and 5 pack of short power cords. for some reason light packages come with all these 6.5 foot cables and the led heads are right next to each other. cord management drives me nuts and though i bought a bunch of short cords; the led stock was increased, so it's time to "cable up"!!! so the short story is; our black light feature is going to be killer!!! i can still use the one i don't like as in a loud event; it's unnoticeable...
