We had some excellent success with Champion and Reserve Champion pigeon at the Jefferson County Fair this week. Hayden even brought home 2023 Honorable Mention Supreme Champion of Show! What an honor given the number of beautiful birds that were on exhibit. Great job 4H and FFA members!

It’s been a busy year of changes for us. We made a move last year in July to get us into the country and a little more space for our growing family and feathered friends. We have been expanding our flock and our family. We now have about 20 pigeons that are trained to home at our new loft location, we have added a few four legged furry friends to the farmstead and last week we welcomed a new baby girl to the family! All of this fun while sprinkling in jobs, kids, and life. We sure are blessed to live such a great dream, so look for more posts from us coming up, now that we’re back up and flying! Enjoy a few photos from today in the loft.

I captured this shot just as one of the young birds hit the landing board and was thinking about coming into the loft. This bird is about 12 weeks old and has been flying around the loft for about 3 weeks.

This young bird was the only one that decided not to fly today.
